Under 16’s Inter Regional Championships

Worcester Crocodiles are proud of the mix of players they have, being situated in West Midlands but close to the boarder of Wales we often have players representing different regions/counties.

July 2024 saw 4 of our junior players represent their various regions at under 16’s Inter Regionals all around the country. The division you play in is based on the result for your team at U14’s, 18 months prior.

Jacob Lewis, representing West Midlands, travelled to Liverpool to hopefully continue the teams success. Already seeded highly in Division 1, because of their win at U14’s, the team continued to show their skills and dominance taking 4 wins from 4 games. Another Gold medal for West Midlands Open 2009 and younger team. We look forward to see if they can do the triple at U18’s in 2026.

Courtney Onens and Eleri Toombs, also representing West Midlands, travelled to Walsall to take part in the Division 2 female competition. Many of the girls, Courtney and Eleri included, were playing up in terms of age group. The team showed great determination and teamwork, improving with every game. What a great experience for our 2 new Crocs.

West Midlands 2009 and Younger Female Team 2024

Evan Pugh, representing Wales, achieved his first international selection for this competition. Wales did not enter a team at U14’s so they went straight to Division 2 to break into the tournament. Travelling to Bolton the mixed aged team worked hard and gained invaluable experience. We look forward to following Evans international successes over the coming years.
